Two GPX files with the same path for "A GPX route is not necessarily a recorded workout".

planned-course.gpx 4 track points, no <time> elements.
recorded-activity.gpx The same 4 points, each with a <time> (07:00:00Z to 07:04:00Z).
The path is an open U shape of 667.2 m (haversine, mean radius), not a closed loop.
Both are hand-written synthetic files. They pass GPX 1.1 schema validation. They have not been uploaded anywhere.
The times in the second file are invented for illustration: a time on every point does not
show that a workout was performed, and the files say nothing about acceptance by a service.

Editorial validation: the supplied GPX files passed offline XSD validation on 20 October 2026. This checks file structure, not provider acceptance or real recording provenance.
